Your greatest creation yet. Love the name. He’s a stud!
Baby boys are precious. And yours certainly is too.
Boys dreams are fragile to be handled with care…For the largely determine how men shall fair… May all his dreams come true.
God bless to Mom Dad and all the family, Ray and Lorinda
Incredible video. Don’t know where you find the time.
Congratulations you two! He’s beautiful! All the best!

I’ve created a lot of T-shirts for bands like Maroon 5, Lenny Kravitz, Chris Cornell, The Wallflowers etc. This was the first T-shirt I ever designed. I think I did this in 3rd or 4th grade for my school, Springhill Elementary. I won the contest to create an image of the mascot. On my original design, the spear was dripping with blood. At some point in process a PTA mom (clearly with no regard for artistic license or historical accuracy) removed the blood before the shirts were made. So at recess I set up shop on the playground and reapplied the missing gore to my fellow students’ shirts using Kristina Katopodis’ red fingernail polish.

What a fun story! Thank you for sharing it with us :)
Just discovered your blog. I had no idea you had a regular voice on the world wide web. I really enjoyed reading your recent entries and seeing some of your current work. You are so talented. Always inspiring. I’ll be checking back often.
Legit tee for a 3rd grader! Can I order one in a large with the red fingernail polish?
Ha! Thanks. Pretty much a collectors item at this point.

Some new fun stuff for Pocono Modern this week. A simple, one-page catalog to promote the company’s new furniture line. They created these pieces from the extra materials after they built the Martindale home. Great example of reuse. Cool furniture.

He is beautiful! We loved the video, but you have to let us hear him cry. Newborn cries are the best.
I think you’ve found a new creative calling… amazing. perfect moment with your parents.
Awesome Ty! I’m so excited to meet Shepard soon. Such a special and exciting time! We are all so blessed with this beautiful, healthy little guy. Please keep posting pics :) I’m living vicariously via facebook and your blog. I bet it feels great to be a Dad. Congrats Ty!
Just incredible; what a perfect little boy. Can’t wait to meet him.
Cute. Good work Ty.
Ty this brings tears to the eyes of Shepard’s Auntie Ann. Rhea looks so serene; in a place
of spirit she has waited for all of her life. “My son”. . . what a life altering gift for you. An
incredible father you will be. I think of all or the incredible moments ahead for you two now that Shepard is here. Love U
Truly amazing. We have a 3 month old and you’re making me want to have another baby. Love you guys and praising Jesus for this most incredible season!
This was awesome and amazing. We can’t wait to meet Shepard and celebrate with you guys.
Just one question, how in the world did you find the time to put this together?
An incredible miracle… in the blink of an eye, your world is full of new adventures. Enjoy. Love, Dana Lee & David
Beautiful work you two. We love the video. He is really cute. Praise God!!
So sweet. I’m a little worried that Rex is going to be neglected. :) Best wishes to you all.
I meant Jax, not Rex. Sorry Jax. I hope Jax continues to be a part of the Mattson family Christmas card. xoxo
Oh, Ty. This was absolutely amazing. Beautiful, beautiful. How great to capture this and have it for the rest of your lives. Welcome to the world, Shepard!
Fantastic! Loved the end, where he starts rooting that little tongue around & then starts to cry– where’s mama, this guy’s hungry! Welcome to the coolest chapter of your life!
Bro! Great stuff! Nice work on the baby and the movie! Best Picture Nomination! :)
SO beautiful, Ty!! I especially loved how you captured your Dad’s expression of pure and immediate unconditional love. My second fave was how you showed how SOON Shepard figured out where he wants to be……”to HECK with the funny plastic hospital bin – I wanna be on my mommy’s (or daddy’s) chest!!”
Bin = cry
Chest = sheer bliss
Conclusion = My grandson is one smart boy!!
What an insight into the miracles you get to witness. Beautiful!
